27 December 2006 at approx 6:30pm a helicopter crashed whilst approaching a gas production platform in Morecambe Bay, North West coast of England.
This blog will collate information as it emerges about this accident that may point towards the causes & learning points. This is because inquiries take a long time and keeping track of them can be difficult. Also, some of the early information disappears from the public domain over time.

Post Mortem

Post-mortem examinations conducted by two Home Office pathologists revealed that in all cases except one, the men died from multiple injuries. One, Leslie Ahmed, died from drowning.
